Arthur H. Lee & Sons
Biography: Begun by Arthur H. Lee in the mid-1880s in Bolton, the company then moved to Warrington in 1888, and Birkenhead in 1908. The company continued under the direction of Lee's sons and grandsons before closing in 1970, producing woven figured pieces and producing a large range of crewel and canvas embroideries. The archive is held at the Williamson Art Gallery inBirkenhead. Source:
