Description: Partly worked embroidery model for an alms bag. Showing a geometric border pattern and a central design of four ?flower heads. Worked mostly in cross stitch. The design is based on pattern printed in Peter Quentel's 1527 'Musterbuch für Ornamente und Stickmuster' (Sample book for ornaments and embroidery designs). A facsimilie edition was published in 1882 under the title 'New Little Pattern Book'. Probably made during Pesel's time working at Winchester Cathedral from 1931.
