Description: Coptic hand woven linen textile with leaf/fan shaped motif. There is delicate interlace embroidery on the surface in dark blue wool. The motif appears to be surrounded by vine leaves, a common design. The motif appears to have been woven separately and inserted into the background evenweave fabric. Taken from a larger item possibly a curtain or tablecloth.
