Description: A round cap. The cap has decorative quilting made of plain woven linen(?). The quilting is supported internally by heavy cellulosic(?) cord held with decorative stitching of linen thread. The external fabric is dyed blue with 'white' striping. The internal fabric is undyed. The cut and construction of the outer and lining fabrics are similar. The edge of the cap is formed from a band of fabric approx 70mm wide. Above this are 6 roughly triangular panels of fabric which meet in the centre of the top. In the top of the cap are small holes, with small buttonhole stitching round the edge. These probably provided ventilation. There is a blue cord ball button in the centre of the top of the cap.
There are hieroglyphics on an interlining.
