Description: A yellow embroidered mat or napkin with stylised flower motifs by Patricia Mary Sanderson, Aged 6, from Worsborough Village School, near Barnsley, 1938. The brightly coloured floral motifs are featured on two adjacent corners of the piece and demonstrate a range of stiching techniques. All four edges are hand stitched with couching to create a simple blue and pink geometric border design.
